The hotel offers stunning views of Guadalajara, but the location makes it inconvenient for tourists needing frequent trips to the city. While the rooms are spacious, they show signs of wear and could use some updates. Service can be hit or miss, especially at the front desk, which detracts from the overall experience. The amenities are basic but satisfactory, and the breakfast buffet is a highlight at a reasonable price.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are very spacious with a minifridge, iron, and private balcony. However, they feel outdated and could benefit from refurbishments.
Service
5.0
The service can be inconsistent, particularly at the front desk where interactions were less than friendly at times.
Location
5.0
Situated on a hill with incredible views, the location requires taxi rides into the city, which can become tedious and frustrating.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast buffet is hearty and delicious, providing good value for the price. Other dining options can be expensive compared to local restaurants.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has basic facilities, including a pool that needs cleaning. It's not a resort by any stretch, so expectations should be set low.

My experience at El Tapatio was quite mixed. The grounds and scenery are beautiful, but the rooms are in dire need of renovation, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. The dining options were surprisingly good, which was a nice standout. Unfortunately, the issues with air conditioning and other facilities really overshadowed the positives.

Rooms
The rooms were spacious but sadly, not well-maintained. Ours had persistent issues such as broken air conditioning and an unpleasant smell. Rating: 3/10
Service
While the staff tried their best, it felt like they were overwhelmed and unable to effectively address our needs during our stay. Rating: 5/10
Location
The hotel's location offers stunning views of Guadalajara but is quite far from downtown, making it inconvenient for exploring the area. Rating: 7/10
Dining
Dining at the hotel was a pleasant surprise, with tasty food that we enjoyed despite the other issues we faced. Rating: 8/10
Facilities
The facilities, particularly the pool, were disappointing, as it was not clean enough to use. Rating: 4/10

The Radisson El Tapatio offers a peaceful retreat with impressive views of Guadalajara from its hilltop location. The spacious rooms have a classic charm, but some areas need maintenance and updates. While the dining options are enjoyable, the pool cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Overall, it’s a lovely place for a quiet getaway, though some improvements could enhance the experience.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms are large and spacious, featuring charming old Mexican-style tile floors. However, they could use significant updates as some areas have a musty smell.
Service
6.0
The service was generally good, with helpful staff available at the front desk. However, there were maintenance issues that were not promptly addressed.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location provides breathtaking views, but it's quite far from downtown, making it difficult to access local attractions without a taxi.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was pleasant with a nice ambiance, though it's important to note that one evening they were out of a popular item, which was disappointing.
Facilities
5.0
The pool area is large but was not clean during my visit, and the lack of maintenance detracted from its appeal.

I had high hopes for this hotel due to its historic charm, but my experience was quite disappointing. The location offered breathtaking views, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable, but the service and overall maintenance of the property left much to be desired. With issues like unclean facilities and poorly trained staff, I don’t think I would return anytime soon.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were spacious and clean, offering a comfortable environment despite the hotel's age. However, the outdated installations were concerning.
Service
5.0
The service varied significantly; some staff were helpful, but others seemed lost and unresponsive. Overall, it was frustrating trying to get assistance at times.
Location
8.0
The hotel boasts a stunning location on top of a small volcano with panoramic views of Guadalajara, but it feels somewhat isolated from amenities and attractions.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was quite problematic, with billing issues and inconsistent food quality, but I managed to find meals that were decent.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities need a lot of work; the pool was unclean and not ready for use during my stay, and the overall maintenance appeared neglected.
